The Team.

Two founders, one obsession: entrepreneurship as the engine for jobs, wealth, and empowerment in under-resourced Twin Cities communities. That mission is anchored by a valuable combination: decades of product and innovation experience, local community connections and a shared commitment to pursue real impact over a long-term time horizon.

Portrait of Vernon Rowland

Vernon Rowland

Co-Founder

Vernon is a longtime South Minneapolis resident. He's spent years coaching product teams and leaders through product and agile transformation in large organizations, while also working alongside entrepreneurs on the discovery and visioning work that comes with building something new. These days, much of that energy goes toward supporting small businesses across Minnesota. Vernon gets the most joy from the early phases of that discovery process, helping people turn the spark of an idea into something real. When it comes to AI, he believes entrepreneurs go into business to pursue a vision and solve real problems, not to spend all their time on paperwork and the other mundane parts of running a business. He believes AI can help entrepreneurs spend more time on the parts of the business that give them the most energy and joy.

Portrait of Justin Kaster

Justin Kaster

Co-Founder

Justin grew up in South Minneapolis and still calls it home. Over the past few decades, he's built his career around one idea: how do we get more impactful product and business ideas off the ground and out into the world? Justin has deep expertise on the innovation process, having worked with large and small organizations, including hundreds of early stage entrepreneurs. He gets a lot of energy from helping aspiring entrepreneurs navigate the Twin Cities entrepreneurial ecosystem, and mentoring businesses at the earliest stage of having an idea all the way through launching it into the world. More recently, he's put energy into understanding AI and exploring how it can help business owners test ideas, drive growth, and work smarter.

/ How We Work

Values That
Guide Us.

The seven values that shape our offerings, curate our partnerships, and guide how we show up for entrepreneurs and the broader community.

Open.

01

We run an open-book operation. Our tools, our training, our playbook, our impact: all out in the open. No black boxes.

Curious.

02

Everyone has something to teach. We learn from the founders we back as much as they learn from us, and we work with people who stay curious.

Intentional.

03

Twin Cities. Under-resourced communities and entrepreneurs. We go narrow on purpose. That’s where we move the needle.

Inclusive.

04

It takes a village. Founders, partners, mentors, sponsors: anyone with a shared vision and skin in the game is welcome at the table.

Human-First.

05

AI is a tool for human flourishing, not a replacement for human workers. We teach founders to use it on their terms — to amplify their vision, free up their time, and build businesses that lift up the people in them.

Regenerative.

06

What goes around comes around. We make connections, open doors, and expect the founders we back to do the same: paying it forward, mentoring the next wave. The network only works if it keeps growing.

Experimental.

07

We learn by doing. What we offer today won’t be what we offer in two years, and that’s the point. We follow the impact.
