Mission
We back aspiring entrepreneurs from under-resourced Twin Cities communities, building economic power and chipping away at systemic inequities, one founder at a time.
Vision
A Twin Cities where local entrepreneurs build wealth that stays in communities. Practical offerings, human-first AI, and trust-based partnerships get us there.
Minnesota consistently ranks near the top nationally for quality of life, health outcomes, and education. Those same measures also show some of the widest racial gaps in the country. That contradiction is called by many “the Minnesota Paradox.”
The numbers we watch
12.5×
White Twin Cities households hold a median net worth of $104,400, compared to $8,320 for Black households (2021, excluding home equity).
Where it shows up
Black Minnesotans earn a median household income of $47,739, about 41% less than the $80,923 median for white Minnesotans, and own just 1.4% of the state’s employer firms compared to 88.5% for white residents, even though Black workers hold 6.6% of Minnesota jobs. The workforce is growing. Ownership isn’t.
Housing tells the same story: Black households in the Twin Cities own homes at 29%, versus 76.8% for white households, the widest gap of any comparable major metro.
